We revisited an old project at the prechool last month and all the children made a snowman from socks. I first introduced this three years ago and if you'd like to make one, I wrote up our process here.
There were two changes I made this time around. Instead of stitching the snowmen closed, we used rubberbands to tie off the ends, and instead of knit or crocheted scarves, the children used a piece of the sock to tie around the neck.
I was never able to get a group shot of them all finished as the kids were too excited to take them home as soon as they stitched the face on.
I love all the different sizes and how each one has its own personality.
