Everything seemed to come at once this year. I found this out quickly trying to manage the craft time at my preschool. Spring, Easter, Earth Day, May Day, Mother's Day...all within a week or two of eachother. Add to that four and five birthdays in April and May and my head is spinning. I had a sweet craft prepped and ready for the kids to make for their moms this week and out of nowhere, Julen and I both came down with a vicious illness. First time I missed school since I opened the doors three years ago. At least we had created some beautiful water-color paintings so the children could make their mom a lovely card. (But I had other plans). It's so sweet how each child's card is unique...I wish I could have seen how the kids cards from yesterday's class turned out.

quick and easy lavendar sachets.
We also had a birthday celebration at school today and while dyeing on Sunday, I threw some silk handkerchiefs into the pots so was able to knot them together quickly and create a sweet rainbow garland to brighten up the room.
