Kirsty at Kootoyoo got me excited thinking about covering wire hangers.  It was a fun change of pace from all the hand sewing I've been doing.

First one...wet-felted balls...inspired by this

 
Using an awl, I easily pierced each ball then strung them randomly onto the wire.

Second one...eyelet...inspired by mayamade's tutorial

 
I never noticed that eyelet had that little pocket on the edge...perfect for threading wire through.  This was so rediculously quick and easy, even the flower came together in a minute, threading the eyelet with a pipecleaner.

Third one...tulle...inspired by this tutorial 

 
 This one took a bit longer, but I love the frilly result.

Any one of these would make a fun Mother's Day gift...I remember my grandmother always had a closet full of hand crochet hangers. 

These were so fun, I may not stop at three...we'll see...

it's late on Sunday

 
I finally just got my little bunnies off to bed.  Our day started with a chocolate egg hunt and baskets filled with seeds to plant in the garden.  I love that my boys reached first for the carrots as a treat to nibble on.  I also love that they insist on the tradition of wearing their bunny hats made by Michelle.  Here you can see them three years ago when this tradition first began...how fast they do grow.

week 15

There is a lot going on.  I'm feeling quiet.  So...no words today, but I still love seeing what I have on my camera from last week.  Here is a look at Saturday-Friday.  Hope you had a lovely weekend.

Monday...Time to get busy on my postcards for the swap...I started by doing a little dyeing.

Thursday...searching for hard-to-find wire hangers in my closet...this challenge is on my mind (could only find these three).
Friday...Peanut is really into paint-by-numbers...and just like his mama, he has several projects going at once.

Isn't there a famous quote about pigs and roses?  It escapes me.  Tomorrow, lavendar.  Even harder to find on the farm than the pink.

spring colors week...Green!

 
Just what I need!!  Poppytalk's Spring Colour's Week.  To see bursts of spring colors will be a welcome change of pace from the drab greys and browns that spring has delivered to us thus far.  I love color photo challenges, just to go to the photo pool at Flickr and see all the beautiful hues of the same color is so uplifting.  Green is the easiest for me.  It's my favorite color...and there was lots of green to be found at our visit to the farm over the weekend...

week 13

We drove out of town early Friday afternoon to try and make the most of a weekend at the farm.  We're home now and I am finally getting settled again. 

Here's last weeks photos for my 365 challenge.

Saturday...found this funny puzzle at the thrift store.  After completing it the boys set in to bend their little bodies to make each letter of the alphabet in the same way as the pictures.  I never knew that at one time we did not officially have the J or the U in the alphabet.

 
Sunday...when mom says "time to clean up", this is what I find.

 
Monday...snow is gradually melting, but we still need to park a good cars length away from the curb.

 
Tuesday...loving all the sun shine at the preschool.

 
Wednesday...here's what we made at the preschool.  I like to encourage children to make things to bring to their nature tables at home.  These were inspired by Lisa's and Twig and Toadstools. 
Thursday...favorite new game.

 
Friday...made it to the farm.

 
I'm planning on playing along with Poppytalk's Spring Colors week starting tomorrow (actually today already).  I had fun finding color all over the farm and can't wait to see what is waiting on my camera when I download my photos.  Is anyone else playing along?  Let me know if you are...I'd love to see your photos too.  Monday is green.
