My goal this week is to create some things for my home. Pot holders seemed like a good place to start. The ones we currently have in use are well worn, stained, have burn spots, and just don't do the job like they used to.
So out with the old and in with the new.
I went through my felted wool sweater stash and started with a 6' wool square. From there I cut a variety of shapes to play with some patterns.
Once I came up with a layout I liked, I hand-stitched through all the layers at once, which made this a quick and easy project to sew. They are nice and thick which makes them super safe when handling hot pans.
It's back to the preschool for me today. Vacation is officially over.
Edited to add: love these from
