Saturday-thrift store find-I still have a great love for vintage calendar tea towels. It may simply be the weight and feel of the linen more than the vintage graphics.
Sunday. My weekly run with Jen. Such good therapy to spend this time talking and exercising with my dear friend. We managed six miles despite the seven degrees below zero. It's hard to capture how cold, but this photo feels very cold to me.
Monday. We make a lot of banana bread in our home. With whole wheat and less than half cup of sweetener (honey), I don't mind sometimes throwing in chocolate chips and then it feels like a big treat.
Tuesday. Having never seen it before, I loved seeing Erika's son do it here. Then two days later my preschoolers did exactly the same thing.
Wednesday. A (really, really) random corner of my home.

Thursday. The children made gnomes at the preschool using this tutorial found at Gingercake (via The Crafty Crow and Whip Up). To make it more kid friendly to stitch, we cut a circle body, did a running stitch around the circle and after stuffing the bodies pulled the thread tight to close. I stitched up hats and scarfs for the children to simply glue and tie on.
Friday. My boys discovered a huge box of beads I had brought back from a program I worked (years ago!) in New Orleans during Mardi Gras. They played with them for hours...pretending to be pirates. Soon, every door knob in the house looked like this.
