The sun has been shining, the snow has been melting and I've been digging in the garden looking for new green sprouts. And it's only March! Spring is definately in the air.
I've been making bunnies for the boys' spring baskets.
I knitted these with some wool found at the thrift store. Tonya (who introduced me to knit gnomes)generously created this bunny pattern for us to use. You can find it here, in the beautiful on-line magazine Rhythm of the Home.
For the bunnies tails I went with the pom-pom, so cute!
I stitched up a felt bunny for the nature table as we've been seeing them hopping about again.
The pattern for this one can be found here.
And for more bunny making ideas, I did this make a bunny from a knit square post last spring.
For any readers from the Boulder area I highly recommend taking this workshop given by master puppeteer, Suzanne Down. I met her at my Lifeways training and her classes are so wonderful as well as valuable.
One more bit of spring...is anyone else keeping an eye on the hummingbird nest? I don't want to miss out on seeing the babies hatch and I feel like it could happen any day now.
