I went and came home.
Tuesday I traveled to Mexico City...a change of pace from the preschool, a break from home, a journey back to my old job and most definitely a respite from this frigid Minnesota winter.
My work hours were long and I got home at 2 this morning so am clearly exhausted but at the same time I feel rejuvenated by spending time/working with the dear friends I've known for many many years.
I immediately fell in love with the succulent wall that faced my hotel in Santa Fe. Seeing so much green after many months of white just fed my soul.
Random set...the birch tree is a giant mosaic found in a new womens bathroom in the E terminal at the MSP airport...the other two from Hacienda de Los Morales in Mexico City. (yes. more green. !!)
Finally...from my daily walks to the convention center I had fun tracking the work of graffiti artists. At times like these I wish I had more than just my phone to take photos.
It was a happy Monday. My boys jumped in my bed for good morning and welcome back kisses, I got to have coffee the way I like it, and I was quite warmly welcomed by my preschoolers with hugs and big smiles. It's good to get away and even better to come home. xx
