One thing about leaving town for a week is that I came home to find a mountain of packages waiting for me. It felt like Christmas!!! I have joined just about every swap I have heard about so many of those fun packages had arrived in my absense. Two were purchases I could not resist. Hillary's Patchwork Set postcards which I am just IN LOVE with!! The cards are so sturdy and well made...I'm probably going to frame a set for my girlfriend's new baby. I don't know why I bothered to photograph them, and this is such a bad photo...but here they are:
...and I knew just ONE thing could be in a package marked "Royal Mail"
my Princess and the Pea arrived from Manda. Lucky, lucky me to get to her shop before they all sold. This is such a delightful hand made treasure...thank you so much Manda. She is already well loved in our home. And she came with unexpected surprises...she arrived in her own bag that holds all of her mattresses and the little pouch with her pea.
I LOVE QUICK PROJECTS
Today I managed to START and FINISH a project while Peanut napped. I decided to make what are known as "book thongs" for an upcoming handmade bookmark swap. I found this tutorial and I was able to use what I had from my enormous bead stash. Fun and quick.
