I've continued crocheting up more squares that I first mentioned here. Not as rapidly as those I made on my trip to California, but here and there a few more get added to the stacks.
But...now what? I didn't really think this through. It sort of began as an experiment after I taught myself how to crochet a square (these). I wanted to try it with a different yarn and I just kept going and going...at first I thought I would make a scarf, but I still love making these so it may turn it into a throw. The big question is how to stitch them together? Is it unheard of to stitch them together with thread like I did last time? I just don't want to introduce more color in between the squares. And is blocking them necessary? Seems like a lot of work if I don't have to.
Anyway...they look so pretty, I'm sure I'll be pleased with which ever direction I go.
In other news...super, happy, exciting news...tonight is a big night for some dear friends. Remember how we were voting on the marriage amendment here in Minnesota last November? Tonight we will be honored to attend the wedding of our friends as they become the very first couple to be married under our new laws. How quickly things have progressed here. You can read their story here, here and here.
The big challenge will be keeping my boys awake after midnight...wish me luck! xx
