A few weeks ago I attended the World Jubilee which is a fair trade market raising money for third world nations. They do this by selling hand made goods by individuals from around the world that directly benefit artisans and community organizations abroad. I couldn't resist the colorful stack of blankets from Bangladesh made from well worn and well loved saris, and had to narrow my selection down to these two (I started with eight favorites).
All the hand stitching and details are so lovely.
These blankets have been keeping one sick boy cozy warm these past four days.
