It's tricky, this transition from school to summer. It's been one week since the last day of school and we are slowly easing into our summer rhythm. First we look at our weekly schedule...day camps, sports activities, play dates...Thursday is Library Day and Friday Beach Friday (we started this four-year-old tradition with the preschool to keep in touch with friends over the summer...we stayed nearly seven hours last week!). Next we have to work out our daily rhythms...top on my list is I have dusted off my running shoes and have been getting out every day for at least a few miles of running...this, thanks to my mother-in-law who arrived last month and will be staying until the end of August. How grateful I am! I have the freedom to leave the boys in her care while I get some much needed exercise!
I was inspired by seeing Amie's summer reading and thought I'd share what caught my eye at the library last week.
Maybe this view is better...
As is so typical of me, I am all over the place with my interests. I hope to try something new out of each book-what I learn all adds to the creative experiences I can bring to the kids at the preschool.
Amie asked and I will too...what's on your summer reading list?
