My step-father was browsing through some old slides recently and came across this one of my mother that he printed for me (she's the one in the middle). As he is thirteen years younger than my mom, he is quite taken with this time in her life. The enclosed card read, "Love that attitude!".
She was a woman ahead of her time, fighting for women's rights early in her life, searching for higher education for herself so she could better educate others. I have great admiration and respect for her and am amazed at how she lives each day to it's fullest. She is a wonderful mom and grandmother and I feel blessed each and every day to have her in my life. In celebration of Mom and women everywhere who are involved in mothering...Happy Mother's Day.
