Thank you so much for all the birthday wishes! I loved hearing from you all and had fun reading through the comments here and on facebook.
What I failed to mention in my last post was that I was leaving town...which I did late last Saturday. I was away at a conference in Florida all week and although I had grand plans of posting from afar, there simple was no computer time. I've got a bit of catching up to do.
Here are some of the wonderful gifts I received...
...first, this very precious handmade gift from my sister
this sweet painting will go so well with my growing collection of small works.
She based this painting on my third grade school photo which she taped to the back.
This photo is a bit faded but if you look closely you can see I am wearing a shirt made of fabric with the three little pigs (and LOTS of ric-rac). This was my all time favorite shirt, made for me by my sister. She was, and still is, the best sister anyone could hope for and I'm very blessed to have her in my life.
From my boys...what has become a birthday tradition...something new from Custo (see last years here)
(look here to see it on)
A lovely book about knitting from my sister-in-law
my mom knows I love glass storage containers...here is just one of the sets from her
and my dear friend Jen never ever misses sending me some cheer. I just love this rainbow birthday surprise in a box...
so perfect from the woman behind Project Color Wheel.
Thanks again for all the birthday love! You guys are the best!! xx
