I returned late Monday from Boston after spending an incredible long weekend with dear friends. Twelve of us gathered to celebrate a very special birthday of one of our girlfriends. We all met in New Hampshire, and stayed in one house, sharing meals and conversation and lots and lots of laughter. It filled my soul to be with these people...some of whom I had not seen since Julen was born. It's hard to get away all by myself, but I did. and it was amazing.
Too many pictures, but how could I not? North Conway is a gorgeous place. Known for it's spectacular rock climbing (see live webcam here) and beautiful hiking.

We spent a great deal of time foraging for mushrooms (but will save those photos for another post).
We celebrated the big birthday in Maine at Stone Mountain Arts Center with a delicious meal followed by fabulous music by Asleep at the Wheel...anyone else heard of them?...they were great!
