I've been clearing out the basement again, a project I started talking about here. I have to get serious this time...we've hired contractors to come in and add real lights (no more pull chains), more electrical sockets (no more swapping out the washer/dryer cords with the dehumidifier) and best of all...walls. There will actually be rooms and I can finally have a creating space to call my own.
So once again, I've been clearing out boxes and am sorting recent thrift finds. I came across two items and I have no idea what they are. Maybe you can help identify them.
These wooden pieces are a mystery to me. I would guess they are used in the kitchen, but don't know what for. Why did I buy them? Because they are old wood, because they were twenty-nine cents, and because I thought I could use them in the preschool for creating patterns on paper or in clay. They measure 8 1/2 inches and have ridges on one side, the other side is smooth.
The next one is an odd looking tool...what is it for? It looks like it has a specific purpose. Why did I buy it? It came in a bag with a variety of crochet hooks.
A close up of the tip...the long side is flat and sharp on the edges, the other has a sharp pointed tip.
Have a great weekend!! I know I will...I'm going to a real tea party tomorrow.
