My wish remains the same...

...may 2011 be a year a peace.
It took me all afternoon to work up the courage to go out in the freezing cold for my "annual first of the year run". It was windy, it was cold, my eyelashes froze, but I did it.
I'm looking forward to my first goal of the New Year...next week I plan to craft something for the home. I've been thinking about face cloths and dish towels and potholders...things that badly need to be replaced in my home. And now Monica has me thinking about placemats.
I also want to start to take time to read more. I've re-discovered the joy of the novel with my first grader. In December we read: The Boxcar Children, Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's Stone and Holes. While I've enjoyed all these, I think it's time to read some that are written for an adult.
