Summer is almost here and there is nothing like the sound of waves rolling over shells on the beach. Shell wind chimes are a lovely way to mimic that lovely sound when the beach is just too far away.
Using lots and lots of embroidery floss, wrap a wire loop, and then braid and wrap strands in varying lengths.
The best shells are the ones we usually reject because they have holes in them. Shells with holes are perfect for this project.
Attach several small ones to one strand, and tie them on in varying lengths making sure they will clink together when the breeze moves them.
Pretty. With peaceful music. Just perfect for summer.
