After reading Michelle's post about KrisKnits knit-along I went right to my yarn stash and began knitting.
What I love about the dishcloth knit-along is the surprise element. And the fact that it is a small, easy to finish project. You just knit as many rows as she posts and you wait to see what you are actually knitting. I must have really been itching to knit though because once I caught up on the January KAL, I started searching for more patterns on line...and there are tons! So I've been spending a lot of time knitting these days. I should be all set for dishcloths!
A happy surprise came in the mail yesterday. This beautiful heart made of gorgeous vintage fabric.
I can't decide which side I love more.
This was made for me by the verrrry talented Adaiha for a vintage heart swap we're in. I admire her ability to combine fabrics, just see her lovely quilting here.
I've been getting very excited for Valentines Day and have started making some needle felted hearts to give to friends.
And finally, Bethany came up with a nice swap idea. She has offered to swap up to ten handmade valentines with any interested bloggers and friends. She has encouraged others to do the same. She and I will be trading one handmade card, and I'm wondering if there is any one else interested in swapping a valentine with me? I'll follow Bethany's lead and will trade with up to ten people if anyone is interested. Just let me know in the comments.
