I finally hung up some of the thrifted needlework that I first showed in this post.
But of course I've been collecting more as I keep discovering them...beautiful handwork that has been abandoned in thrift stores.
Each piece has such beauty, in color and style of stitchwork. I may run out of wall space soon. Some of my favorites are...
And this one is also very close to my heart
it arrived at my door unexpectantly one day from Sonya. A simple note that just said "I believe you like these. Thinking of you." That really made my day. I look at it every day and think of her.
Well, I don't just stop at buying the framed pieces. I've also picked up many of the kits because I just can't help myself. As with all my projects, I have three going at the same time.
I should focus on finishing projects, instead of just getting them started...I seem to post a lot of photos like this one. Anyone else do the same?
If you also have a passion for vintage needlewok, you can see all of my collection here at Flickr. And just because I can't get enough, I've recently discovered Flickr Galleries and have put together a nice collection of other vintage work here. Has anyone else played around with the gallery making? I've always loved making and seeing other peoples mosaics, it creates kind of the same idea...grouping favorites together, but it's a lot easier to do. If anyone has made one, lead me to it. I'd love to see.
Have a great weekend!!
