As promised, as part of Regina's BOCE Swap, today is blog giveaway day for one of our birds. I'm still deciding what I'd like to make for the swap, but am having fun making these little guys. This time I tried it in velvet. He has elegant plumes and a little downy feather on his head. He is looking to fly from his nest and into a new home. Let me know in the comments if you'd like him to fly your way. I'll pick a name sometime after all of the excitement of today's inauguration mellows out...so it may be a few days. I feel a big party coming on. Oh happy day.

How pretty! Elegant is right. It's inspiring me to think about a bird theme for Eleanor's room (assuming she gets a room this year). She's been really excited about all the crows lately.
