Last Thursday morning I packed up baby and headed to Milwaukee for another weekend of my Lifeways training. (More on my training here and here). I feel a little sad we only have one more session left before we graduate. All of my classmates are fascinating women and I know I will miss them terribly when we are finished.
It was another packed weekend of lectures, discussions, Eurythmy, music, good food and (always a favorite) handwork. We made boo boo bunnies,
and heavy babies.
Ours are made with felted thrift store sweaters and filled with lavender scented buckwheat. What a joy to bring this doll home and watch how carefully Peanut holds it and cares for it. He has his own baby now until he is well enough to care for his baby brother.
One of my dear friends from my class (who sadly lives 923 miles away from me) surprised me with some wonderful gifts. She is a hand-knitting whiz and made baby this adorable sweater and the sweetest pair of socks I have ever seen.
And...thats not all. She also made me my very own emmeline apron by Montessori by Hand.
This one is even reversible. I just love it. Many, many thanks to you Michelle.
